AhlulBayt News Agency: The Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought emphasized ethical principles in artificial intelligence development during his speech at an international conference in Zagreb.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari highlighted the expanding role of artificial intelligence in modern life, noting its potential to promote global peace, but warned of the risks it poses if misused, particularly in military applications like automated weapons.

He stressed the need for international legal frameworks to regulate AI use and listed "commitment, justifiability, and trust-building" as essential ethical principles for its secure and responsible deployment in critical decision-making.

Dr. Shahriari led a delegation of Iranian religious and cultural figures to the conference, which focused on the interplay of science, religion, and artificial intelligence.
